Amsterdam WorldPride 2026, theme: UNITY
For the first time ever, Amsterdam will host WorldPride – an international event dedicated to increasing the visibility and awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues worldwide. This makes the 2026 edition of Pride Amsterdam, and especially the Canal Parade, even more special. An exceptionally large audience is expected, and to mark this special occasion, a dedicated stadium will be built along the canals, accommodating thousands of additional spectators. This unique setting will create even greater visibility and international exposure for the participating boats. As a result, the Canal Parade 2026 is set to be larger, more impactful, and more widely followed than ever before.
The Canal Parade 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The world-famous event where 80 participating boats embrace this year’s theme, UNITY. Bar Buka has been selected to be part of the parade again!

With our boat concept, we demonstrate that Unity isn’t about being the same, but about being together: taking up space with all our differences and holding each other instead of letting go. Our boat symbolizes lesbian solidarity, a safe space where diversity exists and no one stands alone. For Bar Buka, Unity means that people of different backgrounds, ages, gender expressions, and nationalities are visible together, finding each other in joy, recognition, and solidarity, and demonstrating that difference is actually empowering. You don’t have to be a woman or lesbian to join us on the boat; you just need to support and celebrate the lesbian community.
Dress Code: Lesbian Flag – 5 Colors
For our boat, we’re going all out with a colorful dress code. We’re using the five colors of the lesbian flag. It’s great if you wear one of these colors from head to toe, or a combination of these colors. Your trousers can be jeans or any other color, but your top needs to be one of the colors of the flag.
We will provide the color codes of the lesbian flag as a guideline, but an exact match is not required. For example, it doesn’t have to be the exact shade of light or dark pink; a pink color that closely resembles one of the flag colors is perfectly fine.

The more color, the better. Together, we’ll create one big, lesbian flag on the water.
It promises to be a fantastic afternoon filled with music, good vibes, and a diverse group of people on board. Our boat has space for 100 passengers. A ticket costs €175 and includes drinks, live DJ, toilets and mini goodie bag. The number of spots is limited. If we receive more sign-ups than available places, participants will be selected by lottery. You can sign up until March 15, and no later than March 31st, you will be informed whether you can join the boat.
